Weekly Update: Ohio to Dallas to Spain

This week was a whirlwind — the kind that starts with bubble wrap and ends with tapas.
After days of sorting, packing, and making tough decisions about what goes into storage (including the car!), I officially moved out of my place in Ohio. The final night before flying out was marked with a well-earned celebratory bottle of Far Niente wine — one of those small but satisfying moments to toast the next big chapter.
Since I don’t yet have my UK visa, there will be a few stops before getting to my final destination in London. I’m officially homeless - or nomadic - however you prefer to look at it.
The first pit stop was Dallas for our annual sales kick off event. Lots of great sessions, networking, and I even did a full-on lightsaber duel in front of 1,000+ people. It was a bucket list item I didn’t know I had.
I also had to say a temporary goodbye to many of my Ohio-based coworkers, which made the whole move feel a little more real. I’m not crying, you’re crying…
From there, I've just landed in Spain. Nine hours in economy - would not recommend. Premium Economy from now on. It’s going to take me 3 days to straighten out my neck, un-hunch my shoulders, and stop using T-Rex arms to eat in a tight space.
I wrapped up a history book on Spain just in time, which ought to make my connection to this country even better. There’s something special about walking through a place you just finished reading about - context is important!
Germany or Netherlands will be next, but I’ll have more updates by then!
